A Message from CH

Thank you for your support throughout this campaign.

I’ve spoken to so many of you about the future of our community and what you want to see. We have work to do in Ward 5 and I am asking for your vote so that together, those efforts can become a reality for our community.

Whether it’s keeping our families safe, helping small businesses, prioritizing housing that fits your needs, or bringing more high-paying jobs to town, I will work every day to make a better life for all of us.

I’m proud to be endorsed by our Firefighters, Veterans, Seniors, Working Families, and community groups.

They want me to work for Ward 5 and with your vote, I can do just that.

Thank you.

Top 3 Priorities

Housing Shortage

Many of our housing issues stem from a basic supply and demand imbalance; we simply do not have enough units available. To address this, I plan to work with developers, community members, city staff, and all stakeholders to streamline processes and remove barriers that hinder the development of quality housing units.

Public Safety

As our city continues to grow, so does the need to ensure that our emergency service providers are adequately equipped. Maintaining open dialogue with these providers is crucial to understanding their challenges and improving their ability to keep us safe. My priority is to ensure they have the necessary tools to perform their duties effectively.

Mental  Health

We are witnessing a record demand for mental health services, affecting our homeless population, youth, and workforce. Having overcome mental health challenges myself, I am committed to keeping this issue at the forefront of my decision-making process. I aim to collaborate with all levels of government, businesses, and the community to develop a strategic plan that enhances resources for mental health services.

Well-Rounded. Experienced.

CH - The Candidate for Ward 5

As a lifelong Las Vegas native, I bring a deep understanding and connection to Ward 5. My journey began right here, graduating from Vo-Tech High School and becoming a licensed hairstylist, eventually owning my own salon like my parents. Transitioning from this entrepreneurial venture, I also became a licensed Realtor, navigating the real estate market until the 2008 housing crash prompted a new direction. Embracing my passion for the entertainment industry, I progressed from acting to producing, eventually serving as the COO of a film studio. During this time, I established Nevada’s first hands-on film training workforce program, empowering young people and promoting civic engagement through projects like the film "Two Roads." My commitment to public service led me to the Nevada State Legislature, where I proudly served as Assistant Majority Leader. Alongside my political career, I earned a bachelor’s degree in Ministry Leadership, and I currently lead in my church and advocate for small businesses as the President and CEO of the Urban Chamber of Commerce. My diverse experiences have equipped me with the skills and insights necessary to effectively represent and serve the community of Ward 5.

Endorsed by unions, public safety professionals, and community organizations representing thousands of workers in Las Vegas, I am honored to have their support. They recognize that I am the right choice to strengthen our economy and ensure the safety of our community.
